Business assistance

Join Havenwoods Economic Development Corporation for an in-depth conversation about what businesses have to do to comply with Conceal Carry and keep your workplace safe.

On Tuesday, November 1st, Wisconsin's new concealed carry law went into effect. As a result, businesses that have not posted signs prohibiting weapons are, by omission, permitting concealed weapons on their premises.

However, these businesses still have an obligation, one that may be at odds with allowing concealed weapons, to provide a safe workplace for employees and the general public. The decision regarding how to reconcile these conflicting obligations may be further complicated by the immunity the law now provides for a business's decision to allow concealed weapons.

Please RSVP to sharling@havenwoods.org for one of these scheduled sessions:

Havenwoods Façade Grant Program
A positive face on a business property says a lot about the vitality of that business and the area, and invites more business, as well as customers, into that community. That can only be good for any business. Here’s an opportunity that’s available to encourage exterior improvement and value-add for both property owners and tenants.

The HEDC Façade Grant covers projects like non-tinted windows, doors, signage, awnings, lighting, masonry repair, painting, landscaping, fencing and more…on the street facing side of a commercial property.

Ineligible projects are: vinyl awnings, electric box signs, interior items, security systems, roofs, paving, routine maintenance, previously completed items.  For more details on this program please call Stephanie Harling @ 414-431-2274 or email
