Havenwoods is home to many recreational facilities that draw people from all over the City of Milwaukee and the state of Wisconsin . Residents find a bit of nature on their own tree-lined streets in over 250 acres of wildlife refuge.

Residents and visitors to the area can also enjoy the many activities that our own Uihlein Soccer Park. facility has to offer.  Uihlein Soccer Park has 16 soccer fields (13 outdoor, 3 indoor) and is home to the Milwaukee Kickers Soccer Club , http://www.mksc.org/ a nonprofit organization and unifying force in the community, that has strived to enrich the lives of adults and youth in the greater Milwaukee area by providing soccer to everyone no matter their size, shape, gender, race, or socioeconomic status for more than 40 years. The park is also home to both the Boys and Girls WIAA State Soccer Tournaments, Milwaukee Wave practice sessions and a number of popular, highly attended adult and youth tournaments every year resulting in an estimated 600,000 annual park visitors. As a multi-dimensional, premier facility, when not in use for soccer play the park serves as a rental facility that hosts birthday parties and rugby, lacrosse, indoor football and field hockey play.

Milwaukee neighborhoods are known for their beautiful parks. Havenwoods is no exception. The Havenwoods State Forest, Wisconsin’s only urban forest, offers the ideal setting for afternoon bike rides and family picnics. Those who enjoy sports gather at the beautiful McGovern Park for a game of basketball, football, or baseball.
