Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative
Supported with funding from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation, the Healthy Neighborhoods Initiative is an approach to community development that provides the tools needed to sustain and strengthen strong neighborhoods that are vulnerable to downward trends in property values, safety, and home ownership.
Healthy Neighborhoods helps strong but undervalued neighborhoods, increase home values, market their communities, create high standards for property improvement and forge strong connections among neighbors

Community Organizing and Crime Prevention
Funded by Milwaukee’s Community Development Block Grant Program, Havenwoods Economic Development Corporation devotes resources and time to sustaining a high quality of life within the
Havenwoods neighborhood. HEDC staff assists residents with establishing block watch groups, working with law enforcement, identifying nuisance issues, advocating for services and addressing issues that keep the Havenwoods community a safe place to live and do business.
Community Intervention Project
The mission of the Community Intervention Project (CIP) is to employ this intervention method affording nonviolent drug dealers a “last chance” opportunity to begin making positive choices, cease criminal activity.
